Thinkervine has migrated from its old host OVH to Media Temple.

The migration has been successful but if you notice any issue, please do not hesitate to report it through the contact form. This migration is completely transparent to you and nothing needs to be done on your side.

I started this blog 5 years ago on Feb 6th, 2004! Now that’s something. Initial posts were mostly Linux and Perl oriented, unfortunately some articles were lost during the initial migration as there were no mature tools to achieve this.

Then in year 2005, the blog has taken a new turn. It totally replaced my self-made blogging platform on Subversion.fr (formerly Blueseed.org) and contained pieces of my life, technology, movies and sometimes politicals.

I would very much thank you all readers who contributed to this great success. It wouldn’t be you, I wouldn’t find enough motivation (or rather time) to keep it up.

I hope you will still enjoy the content of the blog that will, I hope, bring you pleasure while you’re strolling through its articles.

A while has passed since my last post.

I could say that I have been busy with work, been travelling here and there, had to deal with moving, but none of those would really make it an excuse.

Then what is it ? The blank page syndrom ? Might be, but not an excuse neither.

All in all, I’m back and brought some change with me…

Subversion.fr won’t be the main access url anymore, the blog has been renamed to Thinkervine(.com), so think about updating your bookmarks and RSS subscriptions. The new identity came with a new look as you can see. I’d be glad to have your feedback on it.

The blog should see a new organization appearing… I haven’t quite decided what it will really look like but I guess the tracks will set it. I am keeping the archives though for history reasons.

All in all, I’m glad to be back, missed you all and hope to see you back around !

It’s been some time since I have discovered this service and thought it was time that I share it with you.

Twitter is this new buzz concept within the 2.0 bubble and blogging stuff.

SAP has been encouraging its employees about blogging. Two of its main communities (SDN and BPX) even offer a blogging platform in order to allow employees, customers and experts to blog about SAP and its solutions.

Je sais, j’ai failli à ma mission, il y’a un bon moment que je n’ai plus rien posté ici, deux mois quasiment.
Ce n’est pas par manque de motivation ou le peu d’inspiration, mais réellement un manque de temps. Entre mes deux masters et le boulot que j’ai à faire, l’entretien d’une vie de couple et une vie sociale, je n’ai plus eu de temps pour faire mon quotidien dans la blogosphère, heureusement avec la fin d’année qui arrive, ça se tasse doucement.

Malgré tout, cette période a eu son lot de bonnes et de mauvaises nouvelles.
Les bonnes nouvelles, c’est qu’à tous niveaux tout se présente sous le meilleur jour, autant au niveau universitaire, professionnel qu’affectif. Très bientôt, je serai parmi vous de nouveau et pourrai contribuer de manière régulière à l’actualité.
Les mauvaises ? Peu significatives, nul besoin de tergiverser dessus. Juste quelques déceptions par rapport à certaines personnes de peu de foi qui nous entourent, cependant la deception rejoint la valeur de ces personnes et tend de manière radicale vers 0

Je reviens très bientôt avec quelques chroniques.

Durant l’année 2005, est apparu le terme web 2.0. Un peu moins de 2 ans plus tard, nous parlons déjà de son évolution et de Web 2.1. Vous et moi en sommes les rouages.
